Research and Teaching Interests 

Joshua Sellner, Ph.D., MSPH, is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Services Policy and Management at the Arnold School of Public Health, University of South Carolina. He brings over a decade of experience at the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control, where he most recently served as Division Director of Population Health Surveillance. His expertise spans epidemiology, data visualization, health equity, and public health systems improvement. Dr. Sellner's teaching centers on health policy, population health analytics, and practical applications of public health methods. His research interests include maternal and child health, the public health impacts of cannabis and alcohol use, and the application of population-level data to address health disparities. He also contributes to university governance through service on the Faculty Senate.
