Areas to Support

CIC Carolina Fund

When you give to the CIC Carolina Fund you're supporting the areas of greatest need for our college's two schools - Journalism and Mass Communications and Information Science.

Cocky's Reading Express

Cocky's Reading Express is the university’s literacy outreach initiative, inspiring young readers across South Carolina. USC students travel across the state with our friend Cocky, providing access to free giveaway books, and motivating children to read through high-energy storytime programming. We seek to foster a lifelong love of reading — one Gamecock at a time.

Dean's Excellence Fund

Provides support for Dean Reichert’s immediate needs of the college such as scholarships for students, financial assistance for student competition teams, technology and programs for students and faculty, bringing speakers to campus and more.

CIC Alumni Society Scholarship Fund

Alumni donors can provide tuition assistance for students attending one of our two schools: Journalism and Mass Communications and Information Science. This scholarship fund was created by our alumni, for children of our alumni.

Study Abroad Fund

Study abroad offers students amazing opportunities to study at a foreign university during a semester, year or summer abroad. This program promotes professional connections outside of South Carolina, hones skills in unfamiliar environments and explores international perspectives.

Student Experience Fund

This fund will enable more students to participate in high-impact out-of-the-classroom experiences such as: traveling to and attending cutting-edge conferences, seminars and symposiums for professional development opportunities, study-away and study-abroad experiences, and memberships and activities within national professional organizations.
