University of South Carolina students are known for their compassion and care for each other. You can share your skills and help promote well-being on campus by getting involved in a variety of campus initiatives.

Narcan Distribution

In August 2022, USC became the first school in the state to be designated a Community Distributor of naloxone through the SC Department of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Services. Find out more about Narcan below and where to get it on campus.

Coalitions

Purpose: United to nurture a safe environment on our campus, our members work together to identify strategies to reduce high risk behavior and promote a healthy campus and community.

Coalition meetings are held virtually to facilitate participation throughout the community. Please register to participate.

Carolina Community Coalition Research Series

The coalition meets virtually on the first Thursday of the month during the academic year from 3:30 – 4:30 p.m. These meetings are open to the public, please register here for the invite link.

We educate our community through education, presentations and discussion, and perform assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of substance abuse prevention strategies.
